The UK’s aviation network is the largest in Europe and third largest in the world.
The sector already contributes £50 billion to our economy each year and supports 960,000 jobs. Across Europe, and beyond, there are plans to upgrade the airspace to help improve capacity.
These changes will allow the aviation industry to deliver £29 billion to UK GDP and create a further 116,000 jobs by 2035
Alongside this, upgrading our airspace will also safeguard and create more local jobs in areas where airports are a core part of the local economy, creating a ripple effect, boosting communities across the country.
